Dileep’s next film is a love story set in Kashmir
The North and the north east has always lured Mollywood film makers. Looks like after Joshiy’s Salaam Kashmir it is now director Boban Samuel’s turn to visit the paradise on earth.
After the success of his laugh riot, Romans, Boban is busy with the pre-production work of his next film, which will be shot extensively in Kashmir and Darjeeling. The director has roped in none other than Dileep to play the lead here.

This untitled protect, which is touted to be a love story, will see the actor in a different avatar.
“Dileep plays a youngster who goes to a village up north and plans to settle there. He meets a Muslim girl in that village and falls in love with her,” says Boban, adding, “It also explores the cultural conflicts that we face these days.” The movie is narrated in the backdrop of terrorism and the director assures us of a surprise twist in the end.
“How he overcomes the problems with love forms the essence,” he says. Boban is also on the lookout for a north Indian artiste to play the lead actress. While Y V Rajesh has written the screenplay and dialogues, the story is by Boban himself.
Meanwhile, the director is awaiting the dates of Dileep. “I can start the project this year only if I get a confirmed date from Dileep. Or else, this will be shifted to next year,” he says. Currently, Dileep is busy with Jos Thomas’ Sringaravelan.
